Angela Ryan: Please tells us a little about yourself?
Ludella Hahn: I’m a full-time model, actress, and performer, and I love my job because of the variety of characters I get to play. I specialize in the genres of pinup, cosplay, and fetish, though I have done some mainstream work as well. I graduated magna cum laude from my university in 2010 with a degree in Classical Humanities and Creative writing, and though I ended up making modeling my full-time career after graduation (rather than a career in a field applicable to my degree), I do not regret going to school. I love learning, and I am constantly creating new challenges for myself, artistic or otherwise. I grew up on television shows like I Love Lucy and Bewitched, so an appreciation for the vintage lifestyle was imprinted at a very young age, and with a “vintage figure” (Currently measuring in at 37”-26”-40”), the vintage styles of clothing and lingerie always looked best on me, which are some of the reasons for my attraction to the pinup culture. I live in the northshore end of Boston with my husband in a 1940’s Cape Cod style house that we bought in 2013. We both love antiques for their character and history, so the decor in our house varies in eras from room to room, from art deco to Victorian to 1950’s kitsch. My dining room looks like a pastel dollhouse, and we have a sunporch that looks like a rustic 1940’s lodge. One of the reasons I wanted this house in particular other than the vintage details was for the yard and gardens. Growing up in Maine, the lush green of nature is part of me and it’s rare to find in the city, so this house was a good find. I am a bit of a workaholic who always has way too much on my plate. If there’s any free time, I will find something to fill it with. I am horrible at relaxing, but I’m trying to be better at it. Whenever I’m asked what I do for fun in my spare time, I never know what to answer, because outside of Evan, work is my life. Luckily, he does photography on the side, so we’re able to work together often, like for the photoshoot we did for this issue. I have a sweet tooth and a very silly side, which can be seen in some of my photoshoots and in most of my fetish films. I was never popular in school. I have always been an introvert and honor student, but I also liked to defy stereotypes, so I would go to school in corsets, 7 inch platforms, collars, and black lipstick. I was the only alternative kid in the Top Ten of my graduating class, and I liked that. Individuality has always been very important to me.
Angela Ryan: What’s your astrological sign? Do you think it suits you?
Ludella Hahn: I’m an Aries, and for the most part, I think it does. Aries are mainly known for their drive and independence, and I am very driven and independent. I hate relying on people and get more satisfaction doing things myself. When I started focusing on my fetish films for my clips4sale store a year ago, I taught myself how to edit video and do special fx because then I would know it would get done. (Because Aries are also not very patient...)
Angela Ryan: Inquiring noses want to know, what is your signature scent?
Ludella Hahn: Prada Amber.
Angela Ryan: Which texture entices you most - Leather, Lace or Latex? Why?
Ludella Hahn: They all have their positive attributes, but I like the raw sensuality of leather.
Angela Ryan: Describe how you feel when being bound in rope?
Ludella Hahn: Vulnerable, which can be a nice escape.
Angela Ryan: What is your greatest extravagance?
Ludella Hahn: Because I’m such a busybody normally, vacations are my greatest extravagance. I love going down to Cape Cod for a weekend of reading on the beach (under a big umbrella of course), eating seafood and ice cream, playing some mini-golf, and watching a double feature at the awesomely vintage Wellfleet Drive-In. Evan and I usually go 2-3 times a summer if we can. We normally try to do a “no phones, except for taking photos” policy so that I can keep myself from working. I’m getting dreamy just thinking about it.
Angela Ryan: Do you have a motto you live by?
Ludella Hahn: Make a life you love.
Angela Ryan: Name your go-to cocktail?
Ludella Hahn: French 75, or just straight bubbly.
Angela Ryan: Can you tell us some of the books on your nightstand?
Ludella Hahn: There’s quite an array at the moment, including The Best of Star Trek, The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer, Petite Mort by Beatrice Hitchman, and my current nighttime read, Stephen King’s Doctor Sleep, which is a sequel to The Shining.
Angela Ryan: Which living person do you most admire and why?
Ludella Hahn: I admire my mother for how she raised me and my siblings. She nurtured us, but never spoiled us. Because we didn’t have a lot of material things, we cultivated our imaginations with games of make-believe and understood the value of money. She supported our college decisions, but we had to pay for our educations ourselves. I can tell my mom anything. She’s always been supportive, even if she doesn’t always agree with something. I’m happy for how she raised us, and I hope that I will be as good a mother as she is someday.
Angela Ryan: What question do you get asked most often? What do you answer?
Ludella Hahn: A question I get a lot is about how I maintain my figure, particularly my glutes. I always feel silly responding because I know they want to hear what my fitness regime is, but if I were to be completely honest, I would have to tell them that I eat a lot of carbs and sugars and my primary workout (if you can call it that) is doing silly dances to make Evan laugh. I do want to be healthier though; this is just how I’ve “maintained” thus far.
Angela Ryan: What has been your biggest accomplishment to date?
Ludella Hahn: Being able to make a living doing work I love and with people I love is my greatest accomplishment. As Albert Schweitzer wrote, “Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.” Being able to make a living for myself as an independent artist for the past 4 years, and making the jump this year to producing my own fetish productions full-time so that I could cut down on travel to be able to spend more time with my husband at home is my happiest accomplishment. I’m proud of what I’ve been able to do with my video work. There’s always room for improvement, of course, but I am proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish with my production values, editing, and special fx. Though it is fetish work, with the types of fetishes I shoot (monsters, vampires, superheroines, cosplay characters), it’s almost like I make B-movies for a living, which makes me very happy. So though it was pretty cool to find myself on newsstands in the pages of Vogue (UK) or on the covers of magazines like Rat Rod, Leg Show, and Bizarre, my biggest accomplishment is making a life that I love with my husband.
Angela Ryan: Where can we find you in the near future?
Ludella Hahn: I will be a Guest of Honor at Fetish Con in Tampa Florida this August and will be a guest at a couple of comic conventions as well this year. I try to keep my schedule of events and appearances up-to-date at www.LudellaHahn.com. In regards to print, I have a few things lined up (including a couple more covers and my first calendar release), but I’ve been mostly focused on videos for the past year. For those of you interested in taking a gander at my fetish videos, you can find them at www.Clips4Sale.com/36032, though keep in mind that though I only shoot PG to R rated content for my store, there are other stores on the site that shoot X-rated content, so keep that in mind if you stray from my page. |
